Caregivers spend a significant amount of time and energy each day caring for their elderly family members, which can lead to stress and exhaustion over time. In response, under the funding of the Jockey Club, Hong Kong Association of Gerontology launched the "Jockey Club Stand-by-U Caregivers Community Support Project" in 2024. This project trains dedicated individuals to become caregivers who can provide temporary in-home care for the elderly, allowing primary caregivers to take a break from the heavy demands of caregiving.
