Heart to Heart (H2H) focuses on child protection by empowering both children and parents with essential knowledge and skills to prevent violence. Targeting children aged 3 to 12 and parents, the programme educates them about various types of harm and how to protect themselves. Simultaneously, it supports parents in developing non-violent communication strategies and enhancing problem-solving skills. This programme focuses on four key objectives: 1. Improving parent-child relationships 2. Increasing caregivers' and parents' confidence in positive parenting techniques 3. Empowering children to feel valued and respected 4. Enhancing children's ability to recognize abuse and protect themselves A key benefit of H2H is its ability to strengthen parent-child relationships. By fostering open and trusting communication, families can deepen their bonds. Additionally, the programme promotes a non-violent home environment, providing a safe space for children to thrive. Launched in 2018, we have provided this service in districts where risk factors such as low income and single-parent households are prevalent, and reported cases of child abuse are high.
