“Joyful Integration: Weaving Art and Health” Community-based Project The Centre for Community Cultural Development is committed to supporting individuals in need through diverse artistic initiatives. We continuously offer a variety of art forms that enable individuals of all ages and abilities to express themselves and discover resilience. In 2025, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, we are launching this project that builds on our past activities and experiences while introducing innovative elements to promote arts and health more engagingly. Through the power of the arts, we aim to foster a healthier, more connected community. Our project aims to encourage community participation and enjoyment of the arts, thereby enhancing mental and physical well-being. It will begin with a “Wellness Through Arts Day” in the second half of 2025, inviting community organizations and the public to participate in the following activities: 1) Arts: SAORI Weaving Workshop 2) Dance: Inclusive Dance Workshop 3) Music: Colour Music Workshop These activities are designed for individuals of all ages and abilities, providing simple and accessible learning experiences that promote spiritual healing and overall well-being. Following this, participants will be encouraged to engage in their selected activities sustainably. This will allow participants to enhance peer support and improve their mental health and happiness. If the project is well-received, we aim to extend it to other social welfare organizations and schools. By collaborating with partners across various sectors, we can reach more community members in need and ensure the sustainable development of this project.
