Many public and private organizations offer daytime care and residential services for the elderly, individuals with physical disabilities, and those with mental health issues. These facilities generally address basic health management and daily living needs. When paired with our companion dog service, the benefits can increase significantly. Companion dogs, known for their friendly and reliable nature, are eager to interact with people and can effectively serve as visitors and companions. Engaging with companion dogs can help reduce feelings of depression in those being visited, fostering positive emotions and improving mental health. The primary aim is to enhance the psychological well-being of service recipients, which can also lead to better physical health. This holistic approach allows individuals to experience a higher quality of life and truly enjoy their health. • We have 2 dogs stationed serving in 2 elderly centre. • We had extended the service for SEN students. • What worths mentioning is a joint-program with Correctional Services Department for youth prisoners, with very encouraging outcome. • In May we will start a new program for elderly homes, with over 100 sessions of visiting dogs to private and RCHE elderly home
