Christian Action was established in 1985 as a Hong Kong registered charitable organisation. Our mission is to serve those who are disadvantaged, marginalized, displaced or abandoned, to give each individual hope, dignity and self-reliance. Our beneficiaries include underprivileged children and youth, the unemployed, low-income families, ethnic minorities, refugees, foreign domestic workers and Qinghai orphans, as well as operating social enterprises. As a self-funded social service organization, CA rely on cross-sector collaboration with government and various sectors. We offer employee training programmes in partnership with the Employees Retraining Board and organize job fairs, to meet the long-term needs of employees. Additionally, we offer an After-School care service for children from low-income families in Hong Kong. This service is available at social service centres in Kowloon and the New Territories, aiming to expand the reach of our services. The goal of this programme, is to alleviate the burden on parents from low-income families and encourage children to strive for academic excellence. Through this service, we aim to lay a foundation for the sustainable development of children and help them take their first steps, towards breaking the cycle of poverty.
