Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social economic instability, youth unemployment rate remains high in China. Young female migrants who moved from rural to urban areas for better work opportunities are more vulnerable as they receive less support, yet facing more challenges. Supported by KPMG China, “Her Skill Her Power” Youth Economic Empowerment Program was launched in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China to support 120 vulnerable young women to access to vocational and sustainable career training. After the training, young women are equipped with work and life skills which enable them to pursue better career advancement.
