As the assessment agency of “Recognition of Prior Learning” mechanism for the elderly care service industry since 2015, HKAG have been supporting staff members of elderly homes in obtaining recognition of their qualifications through this mechanism. Starting from September 2023, along with the expanded scope of the mechanism to cover “community care and support”, not only industry practitioners but also community caregivers can now receive recognition of their relevant experience and skills. Amid the aging population and growing demand for elderly services, this mechanism sets standards for human resource management in the industry and helps inject new talents for its long-term development.
