The Salvation Army
Exhibitor Detail:
The Youth Mental Health Survey conducted by The Salvation Army in 2024 found that more than 75% of the respondents were suffering from mental/emotional disturbances, which was the highest in the past three years. Young people are often reluctant to disclose their distress to adults and may even go on to commit suicide. They face loneliness, stress, labelling and lack of communication. This booth theme is called ‘Do You Really Understand Me? Through a series of experiential activities, visitors will be able to ‘Step into his/her shoes’, empathize with and care for the youth, and become a ‘Hope Builder’ to walk together and bring hope to them. Last year, The Salvation Army launched the ‘Everyone is a Hope Builder’ Youth Mental Health Support Service Project. Through a cross-community care model, The Salvation Army collaborates with families, schools, churches and businesses to support or intervene in emotionally disturbed or at-risk youths through activities, groups and casework services, so as to help alleviate their emotions and stress, and to enhance their mental health awareness and resilience, so as to enable them to have meaningful lives.
