CanTone is an innovative social enterprise established in 2023, dedicated to using cutting-edge technology and AI to assist Ethnic Minorities (EM) in learning Cantonese, thereby promoting social integration. Our core value is to serve as a bridge for communication and understanding in Hong Kong's diverse multicultural society. This year, our exhibit theme is "CanTone AI ChatLife". "AI ChatLife" is a new feature developed in 2024 following the support received from the SIE Fund and Oxfam. This AI-simulated daily conversation feature helps users practice Cantonese in real-life scenarios, further enhancing Cantonese language learning efficiency through our CanTone App. Our services offered to organizations and education institutions are various and customized, including tailor-made Non-Chinese Cantonese/Chinese Language Courses for children and job seekers, Multicultural Experiences Activities such as Henna, Talking Sharing, Generative AI Workshops, University Student Internship Programs and Student Volunteer Training Programs and so on. CanTone advocates for inclusivity, diversity, and equality. We are committed to addressing the social barriers caused by language obstacles. We aimed at not only enhancing the social participation and cultural integration of ethnic minorities, but also deepening the local people's understanding of cultural diversity. By creating a comprehensive and user-friendly platform for learning Cantonese, CanTone aims to help build a more inclusive and mutually understanding society.
