Hong Kong Blind Union, in response to the government's initiative to develop Hong Kong into a smart city, we have been actively promoting the establishment of an accessible digital world since 2013. Our goal is to ensure that visually impaired individuals, people with disabilities, and everyone can access and use various services without barriers, thereby fostering equal participation and social inclusion across society (SDG 10). We aim to cultivate a culture within companies and corporates by sharing knowledge and offering technical consultation. This will help raise awareness and importance of digital inclusion, encouraging more sectors and corporates to adopt this trend—integrating accessibility design elements into their products and services to ensure that everyone can equally access and utilize social resources. Our booth will also showcase the "Jockey Club E- Learning For All Project" (ELFA), sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Since 2013, this project has provided various support services for students with reading disabilities, helping them effectively use electronic learning methods to bridge the gap with their peers. ELFA has now expanded to adult users and more types of individuals with disabilities. We aspire to make reading and learning a fundamental right that everyone should enjoy.
