Innovative Community Care Model - The N.E.T. Project
Launched in 2015 by Kowloon City Baptist Church Social Services, the groundbreaking The N.E.T. Project pioneers a four-generation integrated care model to address urban aging challenges. Targeting high-risk elders in Wong Tai Sin District – including childless seniors, those with overseas family members, and vulnerable solitary elders – the program implements:
✔ Holistic companionship: Regular home visits, wellness calls, and festive celebrations
✔ Practical empowerment: Assistance with daily tasks and community resource navigation
✔ Active Ageing: Promotes"Ageing in Place" and "Continuum of Care" through neighborhood support networks
Outcomes
✔ Intergenerational network: Mobilized 600+ volunteers across four generations (5-75 years old)
✔ Sustained impact: Supported 242 elders
