The Samaritans have been providing 24-Hour Multilingual Telephone Hotline and Befriending Email Service for emotional support. Through this exhibition, we wish to share our experiences in suicide prevention and mental health promotion, and to explore future directions. Additionally, we will also showcase our work to promote mental wellbeing in the community, such as the Supporting the Aged Responsibly (STAR) Programme, and several other programmes funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, including the Community Project Grant: Ageing Well with Youth Intergenerational Programme, and the Embrace Life Series 2.0: Navigating a Positive Life Project. In partnership with Befrienders Worldwide, we also aim to support seafarers’ mental health and address their psychological challenges. In this exhibition, we hope to enhance public understanding and awareness of mental health.
