NGO x Corporate: Collaborating for a Happier Hong Kong The Hong Kong Family Welfare Society utilises a scientifically validated, as well as social and culturally relevant tool for measuring family wellbeing — the "Hong Kong Family Wellbeing Index". This tool conducts a comprehensive assessment across the city every two years, examining the 6 domains contributing to family wellbeing: family solidarity, family resources, family health, social connection, social resources, and work-life balance. The findings provide insight for the government and corporates in developing family-friendly policies. Our Society has actively promoted the "Hong Kong Family Wellbeing Index" across various sectors. We have launched the "Employees’ Family Wellbeing Index" with around six thousand corporate employees participated aiming to collaborate with corporates to extend the index into the workplace and jointly promote the importance of family wellbeing. The “Family First Campaign” has been established since 2021, focusing on the collaboration and co-creation with corporates and organisations. Through various relatable and engaging means, we aim to echo with the research findings as well as convey advocacy messages to the public, utilizing "edutainment" approaches to promote family wellbeing.
