The “’Voices of the Children” project was launched in 2018, by drawing on global successful community work models and partnering with various local community groups, the project provides resources and shares evidence-based project experiences to promote child participatory community development in districts such as Kwai Tsing, Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po and North Point. This initiative aims to empower children to understand and participate in community affairs, and encourage them to voice their opinions on the social issues they concern about. Through this process, they learn to build consensus with peers and other stakeholders, leading to child-led responses that bring about positive changes for the community.
