To address the gap in existing home care services, which primarily cater to individuals aged 60 or above, our organization started a collaborative project with the Clinical Oncology Department of the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in 2017. The aim of “Hospice@Eastern District Project” to provide tailor-made home care services to terminally ill cancer patients without age limit. The project involves arranging professional care workers to provide attentive home care services, escort services for medical consultations and outdoor walks, as well as delivering meal services for patients living alone. We enable them to have a choice to spend their end of life at their own homes.
