Edge Development Centre was established in 2018 and is recognized as a social enterprise by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises (HKGCSE). Edge aims to be the first think tank composed of frontline clinical professionals, proposing solutions to social issues and focusing on service. We fill the gaps in current services for Special Educational Needs (SEN) and mental health fields through the application of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and theory-driven approaches. The "SEN Student Tutoring and Training" program at Edge Development Centre is designed for SEN students and provides one-on-one home tutoring tailored for those with SEN (dyslexia, attention issues, autism, etc.) and any students facing learning challenges. In addition to providing academic support for SEN students, the program also offers internship experiences for college students aspiring to enter the SEN education field, with professional training provided by registered educational psychologists. To support more SEN students, Edge offers funding for low-income families, ensuring that every family in need receives equitable support.
